Dr. Contreras

Contreras Cancer Fund

The mission of the Contreras Cancer Fund is to provide integrative and alternative cancer treatments to improve the quality of the physical, mental, and spiritual lives of patients at Oasis of Hope.

Hope through Research

The research at Contreras Cancer Fund and Oasis of Hope is unique because we focus on understanding the patients need. There is a direct connection from the medical literature to the medical practices. All alternative cancer treatments are substantiated by clinical research.

Hope through Education

A key feature to our therapy at the Oasis of Hope is that we insure that our patients have a reasonable understanding of the rationale behind their therapies. Every week, Oasis of Hope patients are encouraged to attend lectures, nutritional classes, and question & answer sessions. At these educational sessions, patients and companions will be able to hear firsthand about their alternative cancer treatments. Companions can also ask staff physicians and medical scientists any questions they might have about their disease or their therapy.

Hope through Care

Therapy through the Contreras Cancer Fund and Oasis of Hope is tailored for the needs of each individual patient. Teams of doctors and health care professionals work together in order to provide compassionate and specialized alternative cancer treatment care.

Oasis of Hope  is one of the world’s leading institutions in the research and cancer treatments with integrative therapies, combining the best of conventional and natural cancer treatments. This unique treatment approach includes: hyperbaric oxygen, vitamin-c therapy, chemotherapy, nutritional and educational programs, and other complementary therapies.

Esperanza De Vida (Hope Of Life)

BCARI provides medical supplies, medical equipment and humanitarian aid to be used by those in need in hospitals and clinics in Guatemala that treat cancer and other degenerative diseases. The hospitals and clinics provide much needed medical care to many of the needy and disadvantaged people of their areas; charging only the minimum amount, or in most cases nothing, for fees needed to provide the medical care. The regions they serve are some of the over twenty targeted areas by the World Health Organization to combat various degenerative diseases. Some diseases are spreading at epidemic rates. The lack of properly equipped medical facilities and medical supplies further contributes to the ongoing challenge of saving lives. Esperanza De Vida distributes medical supplies to 5 hospitals in the Zacapa Region that treat approximately 60,000 diabetics, 23,000 cancer patients and 25,000 children yearly. www.hopeoflifeintl.org
